This shake is actually great during the week too, but I prepared the coffee portion of it saturday night which is why it made a great Sunday morning treat! This is SUCH an easy recipe and I have no idea why it took me so long to think of combining coffee and protein, but I’m glad I did. Low in calories, high in protein and super filling makes this not only a great meal replacement but will keep you full and energized till lunch! And let’s be honest, does anyone really like to operate HANGRY? No, I didn’t think so. If you’ve seen the snickers commercials, this has the same effect without the sugar or calories… WOO HOO!! So like I said I prepared the coffee Saturday night so that it had plenty of time to chill in the fridge overnight. Basically, the same idea as iced coffee. Could you make this with room temperature coffee? Sure. But it will not be as cold and you will more than likely wind up using more ice and watering it down. So start by brewing the good stuff the night before, I used my Keurig and and a glass measuring cup to ensure I had exactly 2 cups of coffee. Then, add the remaining ingredients below, and blend! Keep in mind this recipe makes 2 shakes, so cut it in half to make one.

– 2 cups of your favorite coffee (chilled)

– 1 1/2 cups Almond milk

– 1 1/2 cups of ice – 1 chopped frozen banana

– 2 scoops vanilla Arbonne protein powder

– 1 scoop Arbonne daily fiber boost

I’d like to take a moment and say that this vanilla protein powder is the best protein I have ever tried (and I’ve tried a LOT). It’s vegan, made from pea, rice and cranberry protein. It’s loaded with amino acids and has more than 20 essential vitamins and minerals per serving. Can you really ask for anything more in a protein? Nope, you can’t. Oh, and it doesn’t taste just “good”, it’s absolutely delicious. Plus, you’ll absorb 90% of it, compared to your average whey or soy protein powder where you only absorb 65%. Pretty cool huh? And the fiber boost is just a great bonus I like to add since it contains half your daily fiber requirement. Winning!! So if you’re a busy, exhausted mom, husband, wife, employee, student, or literally anyone that wishes they had more energy on any given day, give this recipe a try. Your body will thank you for it, and so will your taste buds! Enjoy and let me know how you like it. xo
